About Our Studio
Black Wolf White Wolf Designs is a Native American- and Veteran-owned silversmithing studio dedicated to crafting one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry. Based in Texas, we blend traditional artistry with contemporary design, creating timeless pieces that honor both of our different heritages while embracing modernity. We take pride in our commitment to sustainability, using recycled precious metals and ethically sourced, conflict-free, mine-to-market stones in every piece that we create. Our jewelry embodies the values of authenticity, quality, and respect for both the environment as well as the cultural stories that inspire us. Join us on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for an exclusive look inside our studio and to learn more about the artistry and dedication that goes into each creation.
The Legend Behind Our Studio’s Name
Black Wolf White Wolf, is inspired by the Native American legend of the “Two Wolves.” This story teaches that the opposing forces within us—represented by the Black Wolf and the White Wolf—are essential to our journey. The Black Wolf embodies qualities like tenacity, courage, and strength, while the White Wolf represents compassion, peace, and empathy. True harmony comes not from silencing one but from acknowledging and nurturing both. This balance is the foundation of our philosophy and the driving force behind our designs.
Meet the Artists
Jason Ogg is an enrolled member of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma and a Native American jeweler dedicated to preserving cultural heritage through his work. His designs are deeply rooted in Native legends, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern artistry to create meaningful pieces that tell a story. Jason’s dedication to the craft has earned him recognition as one of the Society of North American Goldsmiths’ “Future 50” Artists. He has also taught silversmithing seminars for industry leader Halstead and actively organizes fundraisers to support emerging artists and athletes across various disciplines. When not in his studio, Jason focuses on giving back to the community and inspiring others to pursue their passions.
Shay Pfeiffer is an Anglo Southwestern jeweler and MFA candidate in the School of Jewelry and Metal Arts at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her work explores the idea that “control is an illusion”, finding strength and beauty in embracing life’s chaos. Drawing inspiration from the Southwestern landscape and ecosystem, Shay creates jewelry that reflects the interconnectedness of nature and the human experience. Her commitment to sustainability is evident in her use of recycled precious metals and ethically sourced stones. Shay’s artistry and innovation have earned her recognition as one of the Society of North American Goldsmiths’ “Future 50” Artists. When not crafting in her studio, Shay channels her passion into fitness, working toward breaking free from life’s constraints and finding inspiration in her own strength.
At Black Wolf White Wolf Designs, we strive to honor and balance each of our differing cultural heritages while creating jewelry that tells stories, preserves traditions, and inspires connection. Whether through Jason’s legendary-inspired pieces or Shay’s nature-driven designs, every creation reflects our dedication to authenticity, artistry, and sustainability. We invite you to explore our work and become part of our journey. Thank you for supporting handcrafted jewelry that celebrates the balance of tradition and innovation.
